Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Stihl 028 Wood Boss, Coil Issues, stihl ms290, spark plug wire

Question
I am working on a Stihl 028 Wood Boss. My dealer tells me I have no spark. I am contemplating putting in a solid state electronic module, part # 0. I saw a coil on Ebay listed as that part number, but the seller can't tell me where all the wires go. My saw has a point set in it, which I thought should be eliminated by this electronic module. The coil for sale on Ebay is the coil with spark plug wire and two other wires. Should there be another part with this coil that would act as a replacement for the point set?

Answer
The coils you see on e-bay are off of a Stihl MS290, which is the same coil as you need.  The extra wires are specific to the MS290,
because the crankcase that the coil mounts to is plastic on the ms290.
On the 028, the wire off of the coil, and the one from the kill
switch meet at the points.  So when you get the new coil, all you will need to do is put a spade terminal on your clipped off wire
coming from the kill switch, and plug it onto the small terminal on the coil, and you are good to go.  You will want to gap the coil to the flywheel with a business card, but that is it, no pulling the flywheel, or anything else.
