Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): My electric Poulan ES300 Chainsaw, electric chainsaw, bridgers

Question
Mr. Bridgers, I have an electric chainsaw.. How do I tighten the chain, and how much of a gap do I use between the chain, and the bottom guide track? I know about the two nuts, and putting the chain on, but don't know how to use the screw at end pointing outward in the direction of the chain...I know you are supposed to turn it clockwise -- Do you do this before tightening the nuts on the housing? My chain does not cut too well, and sometimes comes off. Have lost my Poulan manual.

file angles
To adjust the bar and chain, loosen the two bar nuts a little, turn the adj. screw clockwise while holding the bar tip up, and rotate the
chain by hand, remove all slackness.  Then tighten the bar nuts.
To sharpen you will need a 5/32 files, and I have enclosed a
scan of filing angles, you need to use the one on the right.
Use full strokes, try to achieve the angles in the pics.
