Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 8 HP Techemseh ohv, ohv engine, blue spark

I have had a problem starting this engine. I have changed the coil, flywheel with magneto and still very little spark. No blue spark .What else could be the problem. We changed the flywheel because the magnet was quite weak, on the prevoius one. The flywheel we put on was from a used 10 Hp, Techmeseh. Hope you can help me.Thanks in advance.

Tecumseh was never a good company to have interchangeable parts between models, so hopefully you still have the original parts.
In 18 years I have never come across a flywheel that had lost it's magnetism, so put the old one back on, make sure that you tighten the flywheel nut on well as if you don't the key will shear, and it will never run.
  Put it all back to original, and we will start over, post the model numbers off of the tag of the engine, as you may have started
going in the wrong direction from the start, and OHV engine's are
notorious for their own problems.
