Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kgro lawn tractor, briggs and stratton, searspartsdirect

Question
I have a Kgro lawn tractor Model# G4315040 Serial# S005325337908 . I recently took out of storage and found that mice have chewed quite alot of wiring. I was wondering where I could find a good wiring schematic. Also could I just run a new wire from ignition to solenoid to get tractor to start , and bypsass saftey swithes.

Thanks for your answer.

Answer
Your mower was made by a company called Noma, which was absorbed
by Murray a while back, who went under and Briggs and Stratton now
owns the remains, so I doubt we will find anything online that will help much.  You could plink around on searspartsdirect, and enter in the prefix 536.XX, and find a tractor there just like it, and may have a schematic there.

In general, the solenoid has the two big terminals, one goes to the battery, one to the starter, and one small terminal.
On the big terminal from the battery, there is another small wire
attached to that terminal, this is the power supply to the keyswitch,
and starts there, usually goes to an in line fuse, then possibly
through a safety switch, then to the "B" terminal on the keyswitch.
Then when you turn the key to "crank", voltage is sent to the "s" terminal, then through some more safety switches, then to the small
terminal on the solenoid, and when this happens, the starter will crank.
One must take care when working on wiring, other than the obvious safety concerns, but you do not want to send any voltage
to the ignition coil, or you will destroy it, and it is expensive.
When the key is turned to the off position, The "m" terminal on the
keyswitch is connected to the "g" terminal, which goes to ground,
and that is how the engine shuts down.  Again, no voltage in this circuit, just to ground.

   Good luck,
