Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kipor water pump, oil chamber, oil extractor

Question
Hi, I bought a Kipor KGP15H water pump serial #0418070670 I filled it with petrol and oil and overfilled the oil chamber.  I have since drained oil and filled it to the correct level. How do I get rid of the excess oil in the firing chamber.  Thanks (I hope) in advance

Answer
Usually what we do is remove the plug and turn the engine over several times till the piston expels all the oil out. Have some rags ready It can be messy. Unless you have a oil extractor you can use. Make sure the spark plug is clean then reinstall it. Be forewarned it is going to smoke for a bit till it burns the remainder of the oil out of the cylinder. .. Tom
