Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower wiring, proper manuals, volt dc

Question
I just recently converted the hand crank used to rotate the output chute on my MTD snowblwer, to electric using a 12 volt dc car power window motor.  I used a 12 volt dc drill battery to test it while fabbing the mounts etc.  I made the final connections to my snowblower wiring ( spliced into the light wiring).  When I started it up and tried the chute rotation, nothing.  I put a meter on the light wiring and found it to be about 13- 15 volts AC !!  I need DC to run my motor.  Any thoughts on what I can do?  Thanks very much!!

Answer
Hello Tim:

>>Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
>>You can Replace the Stator with a Stator that has Both the 13-15 VAC for the Lights and 13-15 VDC Leads for the DC Motor and Mount a Battery Onto the Unit.
>>The Stator will Not Produce the Amperage Required to Turn the Chute Motor so a Small Motor Cycle Battery has to be Installed onto the Unit.
>>with the Engine Model Numbers I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you.
>>Thanks.
