Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): small engines, honda gx 160, spark tester

Question
honda gx 160 will not spark how can i fix

Answer
There are a number of reasons why an engine might not fire.  The first thing to do is to verify there is no fire.  You do this by removing the spark plug and laying it across the head while pulling the starter.  You can also use a spark tester for this if you have one.  If there is no fire, then you'll have to start troubleshooting.  If the engine has low-oil protection, then be sure the oil level is just barely above the full mark.  After that, follow the wires to the on/off switch and see that they're connected and not rubbed raw anywhere.

Next, I would unplug the kill wire from the coil and try it with that unplugged.

If you have a kill lead diode that could be faulty. If not, then the coil itself may be faulty.
