Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Wright recipocating saw, hammer and screw, screw drivers

Question
QUESTION: Hi;
I have Wright saw with no spark.  Flywheel has no puller holes.  Have been unable to shake it loose with lead hammer and screw drivers.  Any suggestions.
Thanks

ANSWER: Was a nut holding the flywheel to the crankshaft?  Did you try re-installing the nut so it is flush with the top of the crankshaft threads and then pick the engine up by holding the outer edge of the flywheel and hitting the flywheel nut with a hammer?

Be careful not to damage the crankshaft threads or flywheel.

QUESTION: Thanks for the answer.  I have already tried that. No luck.  Am looking at the Nova II modules to try and see how they hook up.  Do you have to remove the flywheel to install them.  I can access the condenser but that is about all.

Answer
I have installed several Nova II kits.  At first we used to remove the condenser and points but had difficulty removing a few flywheels like yourself.  Since then we just leave the points and condenser in saving labor time and minimizing damage to other parts.

You find it difficult to mount the Nova II inside the housing; mount the unit outside if necessary.
