Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD snow blower-doesnt throw snow, snow blower, impeller

Question
My MTD Model #31A-150-118 snow blower doesnt throw snow anymore (only up to an inch or so).  The engine runs excellent but the impeller just stops turning when it hits the snow.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for any help you can give-

Answer
Hello Vic:

>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (MTD) and Enter the Model Numbers (31A-150-118). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View. Select the General Assembly File.
>>Have you Replaced the Drive Belt?
>>I Looked at All the Year Models Listed and this Unit has No Impeller. It Uses the Auger to Throw the Snow.
>>I Suggest you Remove the Auger Drive Cover and Inspect the Belt, the Pulley and the Auger Shaft. If the Belt is Bad/Stretched, then Replace it, if the Pulley is Loose or the Auger Shaft is Damaged where the Pulley Connects, then Replace the Bad Part.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
