Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snowblower problem, sears craftsman, craftsman snowblower

Question
QUESTION: I have a Craftsman snowblower - model 536-198.300 that I have just started to have problems with. It will drive when engaged however the auger does not engage. The auger and impeller can be manually turned however don't respond when controls are used. I can see that the control cables are moving when the lever is pulled but auger still doesn't respond.
Any direction you can give would be appreciated.

ANSWER: Hello Tracy:

>>From your Description it Sounds like the Belt is Not Turning the Impller and Auger Drive Shaft.
>>Can you Check the Model Numbers you Sent me, Please. The First 3 Model Numbers are Not a Good Sears/Craftsman Prefix.
>>Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.

QUESTION: I'm sorry John but I double checked the numbers and that's what is listed under the model number, unless something has worn aware but it is not obvious. There is number listed under serial number but there is a "code" number - 9234. I bought it used and I think it is fairly old. Sorry I can't give you any additional information.
Thank you very much for your quick response. I'll pursue the belt and see if I can get it to work.

ANSWER: Hello Again Tracy:

Thanks for Checking. Can you Send me a Picture of this Unit for Identification. Sears/Craftsman Used Murray, AYP and MTD and a Few Other OEMs for their Lawn Equipment. Each OEM Equipment has Different Auger Drive Systems. With a Picture I can Hopefully See who the OEM was and Possibly get you to a Breakdown for your Unit or a Close Match if Possible. Thanks.

Thanks,
