Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snowmobile engine, spec numbers, valve clearance

Question
hello, my sled isnt running right. It was running perfect then all of a sudden in the blink of an eye, it started sputtering and popping. it had no power and was very hard to start when i slowed to stop. i finally got it started with gas down the cylinder and limped it back home. once she got revved up it had all of its top end but no power. now it wont even start with gas down the hole.it will fire once or twice but wont run. i took and cleaned the carb, but no difference. i know it has lots of compression and air and fuel and all kinds of spark but still wont start or even run with gas down the hole. i just cant figure it out. please help.

Answer
Hello John:

>>Send me the Make, Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine and the Make, Model and Year of Production Off the Snowmobile, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
>>The Problem you Described can be the Valve Clearance Require Setting, the Flywheel Key is Damaged, the CDI Box is Bad and Requires Replacing, and Depending on the Model Numbers of the Unit and Engine there can be Other Possible Causes for this Problem. Thanks.
