Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): NOMA snowblower drive skipping, bearing retainer, noma snow thrower

Question
Hello John,
My NOMA  snow thrower model # F2784-000 moves forward but then jams and won't go further. It appears that an inner gear where the drive chain goes is damaged and may need to be replaced. In the parts manual the part appears to be referred to as part # 583010 "JACK, ASSY#41-36T&7T" (ref. no. 275) and seems to sit between 2 BEARING & RETAINER  parts which are both numbered 334163 ( ref. no. 276 and 270). Is the part # 583010 "JACK, ASSY#41-36T&7T" (ref. no. 275)the smaller drive sprocket that I would order?
Should I order and replace other parts to shore up the wheels etc.? Everything is a bit loose but the chain has not fallen off although it has some noticeable slack. I was unable to shorten the slack by removing a halflink etc.
as there was not enough to skip it over.
There does not appear to be a chain adjustment here.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much for your help.
Happy New Year to you and yourn.
Best Regards,
James

Answer
Hello James:

If you Do Locate an Adjustment, Please let me know. I have Never Found one and the OEM Never Responded to the Question when I First had this Problem. I was Instructed to Replace All the Components we have Been Discussing and it was Left at that. I have been Doing Just that ever since. The Part #583010 has Both Required Gears for the Gear and Chain Replacement on this Unit. You should Order the Following Parts: 1 ea # 583010 "JACK, ASSY#41-36T&7T" (ref. no. 275), 1 ea #579867 Chain, Roller #42 X 40, 2 ea #334163 Bearing and Retainer. Everything you Say in your E-mail is Correct. I Usually Suggest Replacing the All the Drive Components you Listed, just as it Seems you are Planning to do. On this Model when the Chain Requires Replacing, Usually the Bearing, and Both Sprockets Require Replacing Also. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. I Hope you Had a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
