Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Rebuilt carb for S200 Toro 38120 Snowblower, trouble shooting guide, assembly drawings

Question
I rebuilt the carb for my S200. When I primed the carburetor it filled the whole carburetor with gas. I installed the diaphragm closest to the main body of the carb, then the gasket, and finally the cover. I rebuilt a second carb and the same thing happened. HELP!!

Answer
Hello Mike:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers (38120) and Click Search. Now Select View Assembly Drawings for your Year Model. If the Carburetor is Filling Up During Priming but Not During Engine Operation, then you May be Priming too Much. Use the Primer Only Once, Not Several Times. If the Gas is Flooding the Carburetor All the Time, then the Diaphragm is Not Allowing the Needle Valve to Close Completely. Use the Breakdown at the Site Addy I Provided and Make Sure you Assembled the Carburetor Correctly. Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have a PDF Site Addy that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf  .  This Site Addy; http://www.outdoordistributors.com/Tecumseh/tmain.html has a Link to a PDF Trouble-Shooting Guide. Simple Select the Free PDF Download for the Tecumseh Trouble-Shooting Guide. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
