Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): no spark on scott 1642, cranks, battery charger

i accidentally hooked up my battery charger backwards and now i get no spark from at the plug. it cranks but i get no spark. i have 1k ohm on the coil. any hints what to check?

Check your fuses first, chances are one of them blew, should be located under your hood, might have to look around some for them.  Tom
You stand corrected, just because you can't find  them doesn't mean there are not any, there certainly are fuses under there.......Well then again how much could one really expect from someone that connects a battery charger up the wrong way anyhow.....lol
