Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite blower, wont stay running, wire tie, carburetor

Question
I have a fairly new (6 months) mightyLite blower, I hardley ever use it, after trying to start it today, it will start, but run for about 20 seconds and die. I used some carb tuneup spray and it did no good. Can you tell me if there is something I can do to get it to run?

Answer
It is fairly new only six months old my first question to you would be the last time you used it did you leave fuel in the tank?  If your answer is yes, the problem is varnish, in your carburetor.  The varnish comes from fuel breaking down after about a day both the fuel in your tank and your carburetor would have done this.  The only way to fix it will be to remove the carburetor take it apart and use a wire from a wire tie to clean every air and fuel passages in the carburetor and blowout each passage with carburetor cleaner the best thing to do is reassemble it with a new carburetor kit and mounted back on the blower.  Next would be to flush the fuel tank back through where the fuel comes out and to flush your fuel lines once all this is done reassemble put freshly mixed fuel in the tank and everything should run fine.
