Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): penncraft riding mower, shaft style, side shaft

QUESTION: i bought a penncraft mower with out a engine and seat and im trying 2 find out the year and who built it, its blue and white, jc penney sold them long time ago its a penncraft premium, the no# on back is  1437 -12273 and after 1437 cant tell if any other no# deck no# are197-651 and gear axle is 1205 014011. hope u can help- please email me at hisher6@yahoo.com   and its a horizontal side shaft style.  thanks Tony

Sorry for the Delay. The Wife Made me Take a Vacation from All Experts for Thanksgiving and She's Planning a Vacation from All Experts for me During Christmas this Year Also. MTD was the OEM of this Mower. I Looked at the Microfiche and Contacted MTD also. This Unit should be Either a 1963 or 1973 DOM. ** A Serial Number would Help me Locate the Actual DOM. MTD  Carries No Information on this Mower. It is Considered to be an Out Dated/Antique Mower. You can Use the Site Addys at this Site Addy; http://www.yetmans.mb.ca/antiques.html to Search and Locate New/Used Parts for this Unit.
