Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Rusted oil drain plug, oil drain plug, hand vacuum pump

Question
I have a Murray snow blower driven by a Tecumseh "Snow King" engine model LH195SA. The oil drain plug is supplied with the 6-inch extension tube that juts out under the recoil starter. The plug on the outer end of the extension tube is stuck. I tried WD40 - no success.  I tried using a hand vice to grip the tube in place while turning the plug head - that didn't work either because the extension tube is so close the the body of the snow blower and there is no space for the vice to grip properly.

When I tried to force the nut to turn, it would cause the entire tube to also turn but that tube too is stuck at the other end (engine block). I did not force it further for fear that the tube might break at the point where it is attaced to the engine block.

The other drain on the other side of the blodk has nothing in it.

Can you suggest a solution?  Thank you very much in advance.

Answer
My solution is simple, but it's a $30 expense. We change oil in almost a thousand pieces of equipment though out our season here. We use a inexpensive oil extractor. You can find them almost anywhere. It's a 1 gallon plastic ball with a small hand vacuum pump on the top. You place the small hose down the dipstick tube, after warming the engine a little to thin the oil, then pump the hand pump 10 times, and it draws the oil right out. This unit can be used on anything, small engines, atv's, motorcycles, autos, anything needing a oil change. I just wouldn't take the chance of breaking that extension, if you do your in for a world of work. Normally with something like that we would apply heat, but because of the oil being right there it is far from a good idea.           Sorry, there is no quick fix for that...Tom
