Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Poulan Pro 5524ES - Replace Auger, sand paper, happy holiday

Question
I have been working the past three nights trying to replace the RH auger.  Everything is a part but the last piece that I can not seem to remove is the bearing off the auger shaft.  It moves back and forth but I can not get it any further through the bearing other than flush.  I have even left the bolt in the shaft so I can hit it with the hammer.  Not sure what I am doing wrong?

Answer
Hello Shane:

Did you Use Emory Cloth or 440 Grit Sand Paper and Polish the Shaft before trying to Remove the Shaft from the Bearing? If No, then Tap the Shaft Back through the Bearing a Small Amount and Polish the Shaft. Make Sure the End of the Shaft is Not Enlarged. The Shaft End May Require Filing Down a Small Amount. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
