will run but stops if you keep pushing the primer bulb it will keep going also with the choke on

I think you need to clean the fuel system.  Start with the fuel cap clean the vent.  Flush out the tank and back flush where the fuel comes out.  Remove the carburetor disassemble it and use a wire from a wire tie clean all air and fuel passages.  Blow out with carburetor cleaner or compressed air.  Reassemble using new carburetor kit and install using new mounting gaskets.  I believe this should take care of your problem.  Good luck on your project
