Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): K series Kohler coil, starter solenoid, k series

Question
I have a 32 year old Allis 710 with a K series engine. Never a problem but this spring the coil went out. I thought it was a product of age. I replaced points, condenser and a bad starter solenoid at the same time. Since then I have had to replace that coil again twice. What could be causing the coil to go out.

Answer
I believe that maybe you got a devective coil the second time by coincidence. It seems as if you have replaced everything that could be causing the coil to go out. If there is still a problem, maybe you are using the wrong coil or you have to replace some fuses. I am not very good with electrical components, so please excuse me if I have not provided what you are looking for.
