Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftman 6.5 Eager 1 walk behind mower, eager 1, walk behind mower

Question
I have a lawnmower "parked" for a few years.  I had it serviced before I discontinued its use.  What is the correct way to re-start it now?  Is it as simple as filling the oil, gas, and crank-it-up.  Do I need to chnge the spark plug as well.  Or should I just forget about it altogether and buy a new one?

Answer
Toro small amount of oil in the spark plug hole leaves the plug out and turn the engine over slowly  to re-coat the cylinder walls and put some oil in the crosshatch.  Put fresh oil in the crankcase fresh fuel in the tank and tried to start fuel has been left in the tank and carburetor you will have to get that out by removing them disassembling them and cleaning be sure to clean the air and fuel passages the carburetor with a wire from the wire tie and blowout with carburetor cleaner or compressed air.  Reassemble using new carburetor kit and moaning using new mounting gaskets.  If this doesn't work please get back to me I am fairly certain it will
