Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Yardbug engine stopped cranking, spec numbers, ohv engine

Question
battery is new, did jump on solenoid, the engine turns over, could it be the ignition switch?

It cranked fine today, then turned very slowly like weak battery and now when you turn the starter key, nothing>\?

i ordered an ignition switch (new) off ebay for that model, am i on right track or could it be solenoid?

Answer
Hello Alan:

Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine or the Mower Model Numbers, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Engine Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. The Mower Model Numbers are Usually Located Under the Seat on a Sticker on the Body of the Mower. However, Usually the Problem you Described is caused by the Safety System, a Weak Battery, the Valves Requires Setting or a Bad Solenoid. Is the Battery Fully Charged? Is this an OHV Engine? Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
