Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B & S Short Block, briggs stratton, craigslist

I seized up the engine on my riding mower today it is a B & S model #311707-0125-E1 (code 001122ZD).  I am trying to find a short block for this but I am having no luck.  Do I have to purchase the same short block or is there another one where my parts will be interchangable?  Also what comes with the short block?  Thank you.

The short block part number is 697761 from Briggs & Stratton. Your dealer can order this short block. Ask him what the block includes, I'm not sure myself. Be prepared to pay almost $400.00 for it. Your better off checking craigslist in your area online, and buying a used motor for maybe $150-$200, thus getting a complete and running engine, making it a easier change over.......Tom
