Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Electric Clutch Spring, craftsman lawn mower, electric clutch

Question
I have a Craftsman lawn mower model 917.274040. The electric clutch spring ext. has slipped off..  I know where the end attaches with the cotter pin - where does the other end attach? Do you have diagram?  The Craftsman manual does not show where the other end attaches - or I am not seeing where the other end attaches. I don't consider myself mechanically illiterate.
