Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Questions regarding stator, briggs and stratton, stator

Question
I recently purchased a new engine from Smallenginewarehouse.com.  It is a Briggs and Stratton 20hp Vanguard, recoil start.  I have the engine mounted and realized that I have no stator wire coming out of the engine as my older one.  Do the engines come without the coil/stator, and are you required to use any of your old parts?  Thank you very much.

Answer
Was you old engine a Vangard engine?  If so, you can remove the old stator and install it on the new engine.
