Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftsman rider, kohler ohv, amp fuse

i recently bought a used craftsman riding mower model #917255460 serial # 062193s-005192 hydro lt. 4000 kohler ohv 14 h.p. it would not start with the switch so i jumped the silinoid it cranked up and ran fine. so i replaced the switch with a 5 prong switch like was on it now every time i turn the key over to crank it blows the fuse is there a certain kind of switch maybe wiring different?thanks for any info i am stumped on  this one

What is the part number of the switch you purchased?  This is the Sears part number:  158913

Does the switch you purchased cross reference to the Sears part number?

Are you using a 30 amp fuse as indicated in the parts list?
