Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mcculloch eager beaver timmer &edger model 1240, recoil starter, eager beaver

While I was cleaning the edger i turned loose a phillips head screw that released the rewinding rope ( the one you pull to start edger) any ideas how to rewind and reattach it?

The 1240 is the Series Model Numbers. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Examples: 112-098R702 (1240878), 123-478A702 (1240860). Did the Spring Simple Unwind in the Housing or has the Spring Become Disconnected from the Pulley and Requires Replacing Back into the Recoil Starter Assembly? Is the Recoil Starter Pulley Still Seated in the Housing Correctly or is the Spring Showing Between the Pulley and the Housing? Thanks.
