Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn chief 5 hp mower, mtd service, starter cord

I have to change the starter cord on my lawn chief 5 hp mower (model#11B-508C022   730272) and I have taken off the top cover of the motor, but can't see how to take off the starter cord housing.  The fasteners on there have no connection to a screwdriver or wrench.  This is probably really dumb, but I don't want to break the housing to take off the broken cord and put on a new one...

I Require the Engine Model Numbers, Please. With these  can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The MTD Service Manual and the Online Site Do Not Show the Engine Information. There are Several Engines Used on this Unit. Thanks.
