Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&G Quattro, wire tie, fuel line

Question
I have a Poulan lawnmower with a B&G Quattro 4HP engine that will not run.  Model:10A902, Type:2139 E1, Code:97082855. Before it stopped working you would be mowing the grass and the engine would start sputtering like it was running out of gas. Even though the tank would be full and the gas was not old. After it would start sputtering you could shut the lawnmower off and let it sit for a while, start it back up and it would be fine for a little while longer. This all happened periodically over the course of the summer and now it will not start at all.

Thank you,
Travis

Answer
You need to clean the fuel system.  Clean the cap vent, tank and be sure gas flows freely through the fuel line.  Remove the carburetor take apart and clean.. Clean all air and fuel passages with a wire from a wire tie and blow out with carburetor cleaner or compressed air.  Reassemble using a new carburetor kit and bout with new mounting gaskets.  Fresh fuel and it should work fine.
