Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Htdro Gear Transaxle Model#310-0650, speed lever, ground speed

Question
While driving on a a slight incline,turned uphill and tractor popped out of gear. I have a Sears model 917.271022 that is equipped with a control bypass that appears to be stuck in neutral. I have repeatedly treid to place it back in gear but have been unsucessful.

Is it Possible you Hit the 0 instead of a 9 when Listing your Hydro Model #. Is this a 319-0650 Model Hydro? Can you Explain what the Hydro is Doing when you Try to Shift it, Please. Is the Ground Speed Lever Moving? Does the Ground Speed Lever Move, but the Hydro Does Not React and ect? Thanks.
