how difficult is it to remove the head on a craftsman 6hp motor on a shreader?

Answer
It all depends upon how deeply they buried the engine.  Remove the blower housing and ahead should be exposed at the top of the engine where the spark plug screws in.  Use a socket remove the bolts and ahead should come off in your hand be sure to replace the head gasket when you do this.
