Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): RX95 that goes really slow on 7th speed., riding lawnmower, shift keys

Question
I recently bought a RX95 that originally would not go in reverse.  I replaced the broken lever inside the transmission.  Now it goes in reverse but when i put it on any of the speeds it goes really slow.  I have to have it on the 7th speed but its just not fast enough.  I've checked the blets although they may have some cracks in them they are pretty tight.  What else could it be?

Answer
I hope an RX95 is a riding lawnmower with a seven speed transmission.  Not familiar with products by their name only.  If you took the transmission apart there are couple of things.  Did you inspect the shift key's that slide on the shaft and activates each gear.

The way that transmission works is that the input here inside the transmission turns which then turns the gear on the middle shaft and the shift keys slide on that shaft.  They slide into the inside notches of the gear and drive it in that gear.  I think that is the area where your problem is.  If you had this apart you know what I'm talking about.  I hope this information helps if not please contact me.  Go to sleep
