Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftsman 32cc leaf blower, craftsman leaf blower, adjustment screws

Question
I have an older 32cc craftsman leaf blower.  The thing wont stay running it is like it is astarving for gas.  I looked in the tank and the gas filter was off the hose so I put it back on new plug and tried to start it run on choke for about ten sec  any suggestions?

Answer
The fuel system has to be cleaned and the carburetor rebuilt.  You should replace the fuel filter and thoroughly clean the tank and cap vent.  Remove the carburetor and take it apart.  Get a carburetor kit from searspartsdirect.com and install it per the instructions in the kit.  Purchase new mounting gaskets and reinstall the carburetor.  Hook up throttle and choke and adjust carburetor if there are adjustment screws.  That adjustment us, then them in till they lightly seat, Turn them out 2 turns and start the engine Adjust high speed first.  Turn in till it starts to die and them out till it starts to flood.  Then set 1/2 way inbetween.  Same thing for the idle circuit. Hope this helps.
