Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mower stalls at full throttle, catb, fuel flow

Question
Hi, hoping you can help with this one. I have a 2 stroke Victa mower which has run well for a long time. Recently though, it has started to cut out when I increase throttle. Any help would be great. Thanks

Answer
It sounds like the fuel system needs to be cleaned.  Start with the fuel cap vent, tank and lines.  You want to be sure you have good fuel flow.

Then remove the catb and take it apart.  Purchase and install a new kit and reassemble.  Install with new gaskets and hook up throttle and choke and adjust.  The screws on the side of the carb should be lightly seated and turned out 2 turns or until the engine will start.  Then adjust idle, low, Then adjust high speed.  Out till it floods in till it starves sen in middle.  Do not go to lean even though you will get more RPM's. Good Luck
