Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda F200 Rotovator- No Spark, vertical shaft, honda engine
G100
Hi, I have a Honda F200 rotovator from circa 1980 fitted with a G100 vertical shaft Honda Engine. The engine number is G100-1204646. The basic problem is that I don't have a spark. I have cleaned all the earth points, cleaned the flywheel inside and replaced the spark plug with a new one. The engine isn't fitted with points and has a seperate CDI unit sealed in resin. Can you offer any advise please? Thanks in advance.

More than likely the coil went bad, they will run and then after the shut down it cools and breaks down and wont fire any more. Check the coil by removing the kill wire on the coil and crank the engine with no spark plug,If you do get spark then there is a wire shorting out somewhere. No Spark get a new coil.
