Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): hydro. trans., john deere model, hydraulic motor

Question
John Deere model GT275. It moves very slow in forward and not at all in reverse. Fluid is full. It makes a whining noise. The drive belt is not slipping. All the linkages seem to be in the proper order and free.

Answer
Hello Al:

From your Description it Sounds like the Hydraulic Pump is Weak and has Low Pressure or the Hydraulic Motor has a Blown Seal and is Allowing the Pressure to Bypass. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers (GT275) and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. Select the Power Train (GT275) File. Now Select the Hydraulic Pump or the Hydraulic Motor Files. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
