Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda motor on a powerwasher, arinet, american honda

Question
My power washer was in my garage when we got 7 feet of water due to Hurricane Ike. I wanted to know if there is any way to salvage it and how to do it if possible.

Thanks

Bill

Answer
Hello Bill:

Before Starting the Engine; 1- Drain and Flush the Crankcase with New Oil. Use 1 Gallon of New Engine Oil and Fill the Crankcase to Overflowing. Allow to Set for an Hour and Drain. Leave the Drain Plug Out for a Few Hours. Install the Drain Plug and Fill with New Oil to the Proper Level. 2- Remove the Carburetor, Disassemble and Blow Out with Compressed Air. Assemble and Install on the Engine. Make Sure you Clean the Tank and All the Gas Lines to the Engine. 3- Remove the Blower Housing and Ensure All the Mud and Trash is Cleaned from Under the Blower Housing. If the Unit has Set in Mud, then you will have to Remove the Flywheel and Clean Out from Under the Flywheel Also. 4- Replace the Muffler. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
