Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro CCR 3000 snowblower, throttle linkage, thick snow

Question
After the engine has had time to fully warm up ( 15- 20 min.), while blowing through thick snow, the engine is under load and does fine. When I clear through, the governor doesn't seem react quickly enough and the engine revs high for a few seconds, then returns to an idle below normal. At that point the engine doesn't throttle up to push the snow.

I can get it back by tripping a lever in the throttle linkage. This again causes the engine to rev really high, but then it comes back to normal. This repeats until I am done with the job.

Answer
It sounds like lean fuel condition.  This comes from the engine basically running out of gas.  There are a couple things to do number one clean or fuel tank and fuel cap vent to be sure nothing's going on there.  Remove the carburetor disassemble it completely including the Main nozzle and clean all air and fuel passages with a wire from a twist tie.  Blow out passages with carburetor cleaner or compressed air.  Install a new carburetor kit and reassemble carburetor reattach carburetor using new gaskets reattach choke and throttle linkage and adjust.  Linkage adjustment can be critical be sure that the choke chokes and neck in a resting position the throttle plate is closed.  I hope this helped
