Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 15.5 hp B&S Craftsman rider, fresh oil, crankcase

Engine quit, As I removed spark plug, gas and oil poured out of cylinder. Cleaned it up and turned over again. Gas and oil overflowed the carb.  Any idea what it is.

your carburetor is overflowing into the crankcase.  You need a new needle and seat in the carburetor.  Then drain the oil and put fresh oil in the engine.  You may have lots of smoke when it does start.  Run it till it burns out the oil and then replace the plugs.
