Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): EU2000 Honda generator, question pool, honda generator

Question
I am not getting any fuel to the carb on my EU 2000 Honda generator. There is
plenty fuel in tank. Has fire and carb is clean BUT no fuel coming to the carb so
it will not start. This unit is about 4 years old and used VERY little. Many thanks
for your input.

Answer
Hello Houston:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool and I can Only Answer Questions from the Question Pool when I am Not Answering Questions here or at the Other Site I Answer Questions at and I am on Vacation and had a Few Minutes to Answer a Few Questions. From your Description it Sounds like the Screen in the Tank Pickup May be Clogged. I Suggest you Make Sure the Gas is Free Flowing to the Carburetor. If it is Not, then Us Compressed Air and Blow Back from the Carburetor to the Tank. If the Gas Now Free Flows to the Carburetor, then the Tank needs to be Removed and Cleaned. If the Gas is free Flowing to the Carburetor and you Still have No Gas getting to the Engine, then Remove the Carburetor and Check the Float Needle and Seat. If the Float and Needle are Not Moving Properly, then the Gas woll be Restricted from Flowing into the Carburetor. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
