Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Fuel in crankcase of a Kohler CV-740 engine, air filter element, crankcase breather

Question
The engine has less than 100 hours on a "Bad Boy 60" mower.
I attempted to start it yesterday and immediately "fogged the neighborhood with smoke. The mower ran for about 15 second and coughed to a stop. Oil level was high along with gasoline also in the crankcase.
I drained the oil-along with an equal amount of gasoline.
I checked the crankcase breather--its clear.
I noticed the pulse fuel pump blowing oil and loosened the oil stick--oil blew out.
I removed the fuel pump thinking the diaphragm might have ruptured and allowed fuel to migrate to crankcase in a weeks time.  The fuel pump seems ok.
Any suggestions.  I can't start paying a yard service yet.

Answer
The needle valve in your carburetor is stuck open.  Remove the carb, take apart and clean.  Use a wire from a twits tie to clean fuel and air passages.  Purchase a carburetor kit and install all the parts.  Install new gaskets and tighten all fastness.  Install new air filter element if the old one is oil or gas soaked.  Change oil, if you haven't and check for oil leaks.  Check dipstick seal and oil fill tube seal.  Check for hole in fuel pup pulse line. Anywhere air could be leaking into the crankcase.  This should fix the problem.
