Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Safety Switch Electrical, lawntractor, ziptie

Question
I was wanting to know how to determine if a safety switch has to be unplugged to bypass it or if a jumper has to be installed to bypass it? Is there some type of test you can perform to make this determination?
Thanks for your help on this.

Answer
Wayne,

With any electrical connection testing  with an Ohm meter set at 60 OHM will give you the diagnostics your looking for.
But a Simple Bypass Is Easy you can go either way Jumpered Or Direct Bypass.
I can only assume your wanting to stop a lawntractor from shutting off when you get off it so you dont have to restart it each time.
A simple way to eliminate it is not to unhook it or unplug it use a ziptie on it to press the safety switch down securely and remove the assy from the seat completely.
Safety switches however cant be bypassed because they are a secondary switching sysem for safety.
