Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Dixon mower pto problem, costly damages, commercial model

Question
Hi, I have a problem with my mower. It is a 2000 or 2001 year, Dixon 6025
commercial model. When I engage the pto it shuts the engine down. It has
the electric pto and it acts like it has a sensor shutting it down. I bypassed all
of the sensors by jumping them and it still shuts down. I opened the rear
cover to the electric pto clutch, engaged the pto and it sparked by the clutch
and shut down. I replaced the pto switch and that didn't help. I am lost on
where to look next. Can you please help? Thanks, Bill Young

Answer
Bill,

I Spoke to my Dixon Rep He said the issue is in the Electrical system and that you really should take it in and have the repair center track down this mess that something in the Wiring harness is going out this problem should be repaired by an authorized Dixon dealer Since you have a new PTO it should have a new wiring assy installed by Dixon.
this is not something for the owner to repair because by doing so you could indavertantly damage the wiring assy causing costly damages to the engine itself and other Vital saftey components.
