Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs carb, o ring, pumper

Question
Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs carb, o ring, pumper
carb
hope you can help. This is a Briggs engine 10A902.I replaced the gasket and the diaphragm and pulled the jet out and cleaned the whole carb. Starts on one or two pulls and runs great. My problem is when I press the red primer plunger it will not squirt gas out of the little nossel. Know when I stick my finger down the throat and cover a little bit of the small nossel and press the plunger a few times I can feel the gas enter the rubber plunger and it will start to squirt the gas. Have you seen this problem?? Do I need a new O ring and rubber pumper or what?? I have taken this carb on and off a bunch and cleaned through it several times.
Thanks for your help

Answer
When you push the primer you push air down on top of the gas in the bowl.  The gas in turn goes through the main jet up the nozzle and into the Venturi.  The volume of the gas is somewhat revealment to the amount of air you push.  If the primer is pushed slowly the gas will enter the Venturi slowly.  If i is pushed hard and fast it enters that way. The only way, if any, to increase the gas is to replace the primer bulb, hose and gaskets.
