Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Tiller, spark plug gap, briggs stratton

Question
I have an old Sears Tiller model 917.298160 S/N 0805W03057 which I have not used in years. Who made the engine? I would like to find a tune up kit with air filter and maybe some gaskets. What are some of the engine specs like spark plug gap.

I am willing to put some effort into it to get it running. Thanks for any help. Phil

It is either one of two manufacturers either Briggs & Stratton, or Tecumseh, Sears used both, if you furnish me with the model number stamped on the engine itself I can give you all the information on the engine. The Sears model number was no help, It didn't list the specific engine either , but identified it as a 6hp engine. ...Tom
