QuestionI have an MTD lawn tractor lot/model# is 132-669G205/J251H2. Serial# H 000743 92 2. The problem is that it won't engage in forward or reverse. When it is in park and neutral the drive belt is tight. When I put it in 1 thru 6 gear the belt becomes very loose and spins on the pulleys. I checked the pulleys and they seem fine with the belt rounding each one. What do you think?

When your In Neutral the drive belt should be loose on the engine pulley same as in park, When you engage the drive the belt tightens around the pulley thus turning the belt and causing the energy to transfer to your transmission.
