Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): homelite trimmer 25cc 5hcps0254af / ut20044b, incorrect fuel, fuel mixture

after starting the trimmer it will run approx. 5 min. then sputter out. If i go back thru the starting procedure it will run another 30secs or so and sputter out again Repeat. After sitting an hour or so it will start the process all over again.

Numerous conditions may cause this problem. Spark plug, incorrect fuel mixture, poor gas quality, dirty air filter, spark arrest, or exhaust carboned up or blocked. A dirty carb or one in need of a rebuild, dirty fuel filter in the tank on the end of the suction line to the carb. As you see it can be a long list.     Tom
