hello my name is chris i got a stihl fs46 trimmer and i cant get it to take fuel to the primer bulb, any tips that i can do to get this trimmer to run and save me some time and money tks very much for your time.

Hi Chris, would start by checking the vent in the fuel cap, then drain the fuel tank and check the filter in the tank, be sure all debris are cleaned out of the tank.

Next check the fuel line to be sure there are no blockages.  The next part would be removing the carburetor checking the insulation block for warpage. and installing a carburetor kit and new gasket.

If this is an older trimmer and has high and low speed jet adjustments on the carburetor seat them lightly and back them off 1 1/2 turns.  Make final adjustments once the trimmer has been brought operating temperature.
