HI Eric,
well i was cuting grass the other day and i was all most done when the engine of my 2 year old snapper rear engine rider just started racing "really loud". So i shut it off immediately. So first i checked the air filter. After i cleaned it up, i started it up again and it started again. So then i checked the oil and it was kinda of low, so i put so more in it. I let it sit a while before i started it again. When i did it still was making that loud race noise. Then soon it wouldnt even start. So please tell me that i didnt blow the engine.

You are having some governor issues.  Refer to the link below related to governor issues.  Pay close attention to the static adjustment.
