QUESTION: yes the engine is smoking from the exhaust and no visible signs of an oil leak

and i have no clue of the model number

Answer
Hello Again Kegan:

Now Worries. I Sent you the Standard Model Request Question File with the Smoking Question. You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.xtremepowersports.com/OEM_Parts/oem_parts.html and Select Yamaha 1990-2006. Select your Year and then Select your Model. What is the Compression of this Engine? It is Possible the Valve Seals May Require Replacing. If the Compression is Above 90 PSI, then I Suggest you Replace the Valve Seals. If the Valve Seals Do Not Correct the Problem, then Most likely the Oil Ring has Frozen and the Engine Requires a Re-ring. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
